E- 6 Getting Started IMPORT ANT NOTE Y our Owner’ s Instructions contain much valuable information on using your air conditioner . Please take the time to read them as they will help you take full advantage of the unit’ s features. The booklet is organized as follows.
E- 7 Inserting the Remote Control Batteries Push the battery cover on the rear of the remote control with your thumb in the direction of the arrow and remove it. Insert the two batteries, taking care to respect the polarities : ◆ + on the battery with + on the remote control.
E- 8 Cooling Y our Room T o adjust the temperature, press the or buttons on the remote control or unit one or more times until the desired temperature is displayed.
E- 9 Airing Y our Room If you want to provide air circulation without cooling, you can use the Fan mode. If necessary , press the (On/Off) button. Result: The air conditioner starts up in the Cool mode . The unit beeps twice. 1 T o set the fan speed: Press the , or button on the remote control as desired.
E- 10 Removing Excess Humidity If the atmosphere in your room is very humid or damp, you can remove excess humidity without lowering the room temperature too much. 1 If necessary , press the (On/Off) button. Result: The air conditioner starts up in the Cool mode.
E- 11 Adjusting the Air Flow Direction Horizontally Depending on the position of the unit in your room, you can adjust the orientation of the inner air flow blades on the unit. Adjust the air flow blades to the desired position by pushing them side to side.
E- 12 Setting the On T imer The On T imer enables you to switch on the air conditioner automatically after a given time. You can select the On timer only when the air conditioner is off. Y ou can select the On timer when the air conditioner operates in the Cool or Dry mode.
E- 13 Setting the Off T imer The Off T imer enables you to switch off the air conditioner automatically after a given time. You can select the Off timer only when the air conditioner is on. Y ou can select the Off timer when the air conditioner operates in the Cool or Dry mode.
E- 14 Setting the Sleep T imer The Sleep T imer can be used when you are cooling your room to switch the air conditioner off automatically after 8 hours. If you wish to switch the unit off at a specific time, refer to page 13. 1 Make sure that you have selected the Cool mode.
E- 15 Selecting Energy Saving Mode T o select the energy saving mode, press the button on the remote control or button on the unit one or more times until the Energy Saver indicator lights up. Result: The fan and compressor cycle on and off together .
E- 16 T emperature and Humidity Ranges If the air conditioner is used at... Then... Higher temperature The automatic protection feature may be triggered and the air conditioner stopped. Lower temperature A water leakage or some other malfunction may happen if the heat exchanger freezes.
E- 17 Cleaning Y our Air Conditioner Open the front grille by pulling the tabs on both sides of the grille. Then lift it up slightly to open the front grille completely . 1 Remove all dust on the air filter with a vacuum cleaner or brush. 3 Grab the tabs on the filter and pull it up and out.
E- 18 Solving Common Problems Explanation / Solution ◆ Check that the circuit breaker used for the air conditioner has not been triggered. ◆ Check that the power cable is plugged into a wall socket and the socket is switched on, if necessary .

S- 7 Colocación de las pilas del control remoto Presione la tapa de la pila, situada en la parte posterior del control remoto, deslizándola en la dirección de la flecha y quítela.
S- 8 Enfriando su Habitación Para ajustar la temperatura, oprima el botón de o en el control remoto o unidad uno o más veces hasta que visualize la temperatura requerida.
S- 9 V entilando su Habitación Si es necesario, pulse el botón (On/Off). Resultado: El acondicionador de aire arranca en el modo Fresco. La unidad emite dos bipidos. 1 Si quiere proporcionar la ciraculación del aire sin refrigeración, puede utilizar el modo de Fan(Ventilador).
S- 10 Eliminación del exceso de humedad Si el ambiente de la habitación es muy húmedo, puede eliminar el exce- so de humedad sin disminuir demasiado la temperatura ambiental. 1 Si es necesario, presione el botón (On/Off). Resultado : El acondicionador de aire arranca en el modo Fresco.
S- 11 Ajustando la Dirección de la Corriente de Aire Horizontal Dependiendo de la posición de la unidad en su cuarto, puede ajustar la orientación de los filos de la corriente de aire sobre la unidad. Ajuste los filos de la corriente de aire a la posición deseada empujándolos de un lado a otro.
S- 12 Ajustar el T iempo para Encender Para encender el marcador de tiempo no le permite a Ud. encender el aire acondi- cionador automáticamente despu é s de dar un periodo de tiempo. Podrá elegir el T iempo para Encender sólamente cuando el aire acondicionador está apagado.

F- 15 Activer le mode d ’é conomie d ’énergie Pour activer le mode l'économie d'énergie, appuyer sur le bouton de la télécommande ou de l'unité une ou plusieurs fois jusqu'à ce que l’indicateur Energy Saver s'allume.

F- 17 Entretien du climatiseur Ouvrez la grille avant en tirant les fermoirs des deux côtés de la grille. Puis soulevez-les légèrement afin d°Ø ouvrir complètement la grille avant. 1 Enlevez la poussière qui se trouve sur le filtre à air à l'aide d’un aspirateur et d'une brosse.
