19 Playing a track rep eatedly (Rep eat Pla y) Y ou can us e t h e repeat fu nc tion for norm al play , si ng le-track pl ay , shu f fle play , and p ro gram play mode . 1 While pl aying i n t h e select e d play mode, pr ess P MODE/ for 2 second s or more.
20 Adjusting the sound (V irtual-Surr ound • Digital Sound Equalizer ) Y ou ca n vary th e vi r tual sound to cre ate dif feren t acous tics, o r modify t he soun d to suit y our taste and store it for later use. The follo wing two ef fect ca n be selected.
21 T o modify and store the sound Y ou c an mo dify the so un d and store the results in “USER”. 1 Do steps 1 to 3 of “Selecting th e sou nd quality (Di gital So und Equali zer)” (pag e 20), and press . or > r epeatedly until “USER” app ears.

23 Using t he g rou p func tion What is the group function? The group func tion is pro vided to allo w play back of di scs with gr oup sett ings. The grou p functi on is c o n v enient fo r play b ack of MDs on which se veral alb ums or C D single s ha ve been rec orded in MDLP (LP2/LP4) mode.
24 Selecting the pla y mode for gro up play (Gr oup P lay Mode) The shuffle pl ay a nd program pl ay funct io n ca n be used duri ng group play mode. 1 Press P MODE/ repeate dly . After no r m al pl ayback, the f o l lowing play modes ar e dis played.

42 Recording audio data to your computer Y o u can re cord audio data to yo ur computer from sources s uch as audio CDs and the I nternet (page 50). On the computer Listening Y ou can listen to an audio CD in the CD- ROM dri ve o f yo ur co mputer , or audi o data in the hard di sk drive (page 57).
43 What is a Net MD? Net MD is a stand ard tha t enables th e transf er of audio data from a compute r to a MiniDisc de vice. T o use this Net MD wi th your computer requires a so ftware applic ation called “Son icSt age”.

Refer to the operating i nstructions of t he Net MD as well . 1 Insert a recordable disc into the Net MD. 2 Make the power source and th e dedicated USB cable conn ectio ns with the Net MD and the computer .

53 Labeling audio data After recor ding has comple ted, you can la bel the audio da ta in the Music Driv e. Once a udio data in the Music Driv e is labeled, the label informati on will be tran sferred to a d isc along with the audi o data, allo wing you to vi ew the data on your Net MD.
54 T ransferring audio data from your computer to the Net MD (Check-out) Audi o da ta stored on the M usic Drive can be tran sf er red to your N et MD. This proce ss is called “ C heck-out”. The n umber of times a tr ack can be checke d out is re stricted in th is soft ware f or the pr otect ion of c opyri ghts (p age 71).
