2 LU43P-LU53P INTRODUCTION Introduction T he DU AL outdoor speaker series is designed as a multi- purpose speaker and will deliver accur ate high fidelity sound in exterior or interior environments. W eather -r esistant design and construction pr ovide optimum durability for permanent or temporary outdoor use.

4 LU43P-LU53P INSTALLATION Placement & Mounting Speakers T he DU AL LU43 and LU53 have been tested for environmental usage and ar e weather resistant, but not waterproof. Occasional moistur e will not affect performance. T he speak ers should be allowed to ventilate and dry after water exposure.
Connecting Speakers 5 LU43P-LU53P CONNECTION Speaker Wire -T ypical speaker wir e has a pair of separate speaker wir es with insulating jackets that are molded together . Dual recommends the use of two conductor 18- gauge speaker wir e to connect your speakers to your r eceiver .
6 LU43P-LU53P CONNECTION & TROUBLESHOOTING Connecting Speakers T he speak er wire must be securely connected and tightened properly to the speak er inputs. Do not over -tighten. Do not allow the positive and negative speaker wir e from the r eceiver to mak e contact, as this will cause a short.
