GPS na vigation system By setting your destinati on, the device will automati cally perform a rout e search and guide you thr ough the route usi ng screen display s and voice announcements. How to vie w the navigation screen The navigation map display consists of a present l ocation scr een and a scrol led map screen.

51 Basic operation Changing the sear ch area This navigat ion system divide s the U.S. and Canada into 11 block areas. For any sear ch method emp loyed, the syste m will conduct a search in the area you are occupying unless t he search ar ea has been changed.

59 Basic operation • Depending on the POI, the display ed geographical poin t is not always the actual location of tha t POI. The following cases may r esult in a sear ch based on data that dif fers fr om general publicat ions.

104 Point registration 1. What is point registration Up to 106 geographical points - categorized as "home," memory points or spe cial memory points - can be stor ed on a map by reg istering them as memory points. There can be one "home" and u p to five special memory points.
