13 Manual vi Test Pr ocedure The detector has a manual vi input. The manual vi test is perform ed by connecting this input to the system power for the duration of the test. This can be done by connecting a m omentary contact pu shbutton between sy stem power and the manual vi inpu t, and then h olding the push button to perform the test.
14 The UVU- 140- A or UVU- 140-AR curren t output w ill change w ith the am ount of ultrav iolet light be ing detected (see Tab le 4 ). 2. Turn off the UV test lam p. 3. Re pea t s te ps 1 & 2 f or all de tec to rs in the sys te m. 4. After all detectors hav e been check ed, return the sy stem to the n ormal op erating m ode.
15 CHAPTER 5 MAI NTENANCE Routine M aintenance The UVU-14 0-A & UVU-14 0-AR fir e det ect ors re qui re no per iodi c cal ibr ati on. T o maint ai n maximum se nsi tivit y, the viewing window and reflector should be clean ed on a routine basis depending on the type and amount of contam inants in the area.
