The PXA255 does not include a floating-point unit. The device does, however , cont ain a DSP co-processo r to enhance multimedia applications.

Under embedded Linux and VxW orks the internal RTC of the PX A255 should only be used for power management events, and an external Dallas DS1338 RTC should be used to keep the time and date.

The power connector PL16 has a +12V connection defined, but is not required for the VIPER under normal operation.
