6 ENGLISH OVERVIEW _______________________________ Controls See the illustrations on pages 2 and 3. Professional cutting head made from ceramic/stainless steel (width 38 mm). Side catches for removing attachments. On/off switch. Charging display (LED).
ENGLISH 7 POWER SUPPL Y __________________________ Rechargeable batter y operation When operating the appliance with the built-in nickel metal hydride bat- ter y , only use the power unit sup- plied for charging. Check that the voltage indicated on the type plate of the power supply unit corresponds to your local power supply .
8 ENGLISH POWER SUPPL Y __________________________ Using the charging unit 1 Plug the socket of the appli- ance into the charging unit. 2 Plug the power cord into the socket on the charging unit.
ENGLISH 9 Cutting hair ... ... using the ceramic/stainless steel cutting head (width 38 mm). 1 If necessar y , remove the attach- ment by pressing in both side catches and lifting off. 2 Insert ceramic/stainless steel cutting head carefully at the top and press down until it clicks into place.
10 ENGLISH Beard trimming ... ... using the beard trimming attach- ment (width 30 mm). 1 If necessar y , remove the attach- ment by pressing in both side catches and lifting off. 2 Insert beard trimming attachment carefully at the top and press down until it clicks into place.
ENGLISH 11 Note 7 The comb attachments fit both cutting heads. 3 Push the comb attachment care- fully and firmly onto the rounded rear half of the cutting head from above and let it click into place. 4 Press the button to switch on the appliance. 5 Begin use.
12 ENGLISH OPERA TION ______________________________ Close shaving ... ... using the shaving attachment . 1 If necessar y , remove the attach- ment by pressing in both side catches and lifting off. 2 Insert shaving attachment carefully at the top and press down until it clicks into place.
ENGLISH 13 CLEANING AND CARE ____________________ Cleaning and care 7 Switch off the appliance and unplug the power supply unit from the mains. 7 Remove the attachment and clean the blade head with the brush supplied. Caution 7 If cleaning with the brush is no t sufficient, you can also rinse the attachment under running water .
