Assembly Instructions W A RNING ! Do NOT plug into el ectrical supply until assembly is com p lete. Failur e to do so coul d result in electrical shock or injury. 1. Slide w ands together until wand button 1 snaps into place. T urn wand button 1 to the slotted area of the w and swivel.
General Operation • The EG1400 is controlled by th e on/off power control switch located on the hose handle. Th e headlight will operate when the EG1400 is turned on. • To lower wand from the upright position, simply press on the handle release pedal.
Performance Features Edge Cleaner Active brush edge clea ners are on both sid es of the EG1400. Guide either side of the EG1400 along baseboards or ne xt to furniture to help remove dirt trapped at carpet edg es. Overload Protector The EG1400 has built-in protection against m otor and belt damage should the agitator jam.
Maintenance and Care WARNING!!! Discon n ect elec trical supply before servicin g or c lea nin g the unit. Failure to do so could result in electrical shock or personal injury from cleaner suddenly starting. Always follow all safety precautions specified when caring for your EG1400.
Maintenance and Care To Replace Belt: 1. Install ne w belt (Part # 94 39-01) over motor drive then over belt p ath. (Fig. L) 2. Place agitator assembly back into EG1400. (Fig. M) 3. Reinstall agitator cover b y lining up the front tabs and slots and rotating downw a rd until the latches snap i nto place.
