IX How to Use This Manual This manual is wri tten for the syste m integr ator , PC technici an and knowledgeable P C end user . It describes how to configure your WBX -6200F- V series to meet vari ous oper ating requirements.
1 System Overview Introduction WBX -6200F-V series are based-on the features of high p e rf or ma n c e , c os t - ef fe c t i ve fo r V I A C 3 o r E d e n p la tf or m w i th lo w power consumption. WBX -6200F-V is mainly designed for industrial automation with slim and tr ue fanless feature.

7 Getting Started This chapter tells y ou how to set up the system. Setting Up the System The following is a su mmary of the steps in setting up the system for use. CAUTION: Make sure that power t o the system and each of the devices t o be connected is swi tched OF F before plugging in t he connectors.
8 Installing System Software Recent releases of oper ating sy stems from major vendors include setup programs, which load automatically and guide you throug h hard disk preparation and operating system installation . The guidelines below w ill help you determine the steps necessary to install your operating system on the Micro PC hard drive.
9 Installing the Drivers After installin g your system software, you will be able to set up the LAN, VGA, Audio and USB f unctions. All drivers are stored in a CD disc, which can be found in your ac cessory pack.
10 BIOS Setup Information WBX -6200F-V is equipped with the AMI BIOS stored in Flash ROM. This BIOS has a built-in Setup progr am that allows users to modify the basic system configu r ation easily . This type of information is stored in CMOS RAM so th at it is retained durin g power-off periods.
11 In HIFLEX BIOS setup, you can use the keyboa rd to choose among options or modify the system par ameters to match the options with your system. The table below will show you all of keystroke functions in BIOS setup.
12 Main Menu Once you enter WBX -6200F-V AMI BIOS CMOS Setup Utility , you should start with the Main Menu. Th e Main Menu allow s you to select from eleven se tup functions and two ex it choices. Use arrow keys to switch among items and press <Enter> key to ac cept or bring up the sub-menu.

22 These fields set the type of devi ce for the first boot drive that the AMIBIOS attempts to boot from after AMI BIOS POST is completed. If it fails to boot from t he first boot drive, i t will attempt to boot from the second, then thi rd boot drive as specified in the corresponding field.
23 System Keyboar d This option will be used to n eglect “keyboard error” while you choose Absent setting in your BIOS setup and s ystem has no keyboard attached. Primary Display Chooses Absent , VGA/EGA, CGA40x25, CGA80x25, or Mo no to meet your monitor type.
24 L2 Cache Enables this option t o turn on or off the CPU’s Level 2 built -in cache. System BIOS Cacheable Enables this option to enhance system performance by shadowing and caching system BIOS. When disabled, this BIOS shadow function will be ignor ed.
