4 SPEAKER PLACEMENT SUBWOOFER SURROUND SPEAKERS 5 – 6 ft. FRONT SPEAKERS 0-2 ft. The front speakers should be placed the same distance from each other as they are from the listening position. They should be placed at about the same height from the floor as the listeners’ ears will be, or they may be angled toward the listeners.
5 MOUNTING OPTIONS On shelves. W ALL-MOUNTING On the wall. W all brackets are included. Slide speaker onto support. On optional stands (FS1000). Place speaker and support on wall plate. Make sure that at least 1/4" (6mm) of the wall plate metal shaft is inserted into the support cavity .
6 CONNECTION TIPS SPEAKER CONNECTIONS Separate and strip the ends of the speaker wire as shown. The wires supplied with the system may already be stripped and tinned for easy insertion into the speaker terminals. Speakers and electronics terminals have corresponding (+) and (–) terminals.
7 DOLBY PRO LOGIC (NON-DIGIT AL) – LINE LEVEL Use this installation method for Dolby Pro Logic appli- cations (not Dolby Digital, DTS or other digital process- ing), where the receiver/ processor is.

9 OPERA TION MIN MAX Subwoofer Level MIN MAX Subwoofer Level Move the Master Power switch (marked “Power” ¡ ) to the “ • ” (On) position to use the subwoofer . The SUB145 subwoofer will automatically turn on or go into standby (sleep) mode when left in the auto mode (“Auto/On” switch ™ in the “Auto” position).
10 If there is no sound from any of the speakers: • Check that receiver/ampli- fier is on and a source is playing. • Check that the powered subwoofer is plugged in, and that its Power switch ¡ is switched on (“ • ” position). • Check all wires and con- nections between receiver/ amplifier and speakers.
11 If there is no sound from the surround speakers: • Check all wires and con- nections between receiver/ amplifier and speakers. Make sure all wires are con- nected. Make sure none of the speaker wires are frayed, cut or punctured, or touching each other .
