VM8023HD 2 opening, bend as many of the t abs outward as necessary to firmly secure the sleeve to the dashboard. CAUTION: For proper opera tion of the DVD player , the chassis must be mounted within 20° of horizontal. Make sure th e unit is mount ed within this limitation.
VM8023HD 3 WIRING IMPORT ANT! The pink parking wire MUST be connected to the switched side of the parking break circuit (the part that becomes grounded when the brake is applied).
VM8023HD 4 REMOTE CONTROL OPER ATION The remote control will allow you to control the advanced functions of the VM8023HD . Operating Range The remote control sensor (19) is located near the bottom of the front panel, lef t of the LCD screen. The remo te control can operate within a distance of 3~5m.

VM8023HD 6 OPERATION Power Press the (power) button (1) to turn the unit on . Press and hold the power button again to turn the unit off. NOTE: LCD panels may tak e longer to respond when subjected to cold temperatures for an ext ended period of time.
VM8023HD 7 Menu Operation Press and hold the VOL/SEL/MENU button (2) for more than two seconds to access the menu. Press the VOL/SEL/MENU button to move th rough the following menu opti ons: Equalizer , Loud Set, Beep Set, 1 2/24 Mode (clock), V ol Mode, A-VOL, Sub LPF and Area Set.
VM8023HD 8 Reset Button The RESET button (22) is located on the front pan el under the power button. Resetting the unit will erase the ti me and preset memories. It should only be activated upon initial installati on after all wiring is complete, or if there is a malfunction of any of the switches on the unit.
