5 2. Drill a ¹⁄₂ " (1.27 cm) deep hole in the bot tom of the overl ay frame for the bottom hinge pi n as shown. Bottom V iew Location Requirements T o ensure proper ventilati on for your wine ce llar , allow for a ¹ / ₄ " (6.35 mm) sp ace on each si de and at t he top.
6 Clean Before Using After you remove all of th e packagin g materials , clean the i nside of your wine cell ar before using it. S ee the clean ing inst ruction s in “Wine Cellar Care.” Install Custom Overlay Frame IMPORTANT: ■ Create custom overlay frame ac cordin g to t he spe cifica tio ns in the “Custo m Overlay Frame” sect ion.
7 3. Slowly lower the door straight and evenly onto the bottom hinge pin. Be sure the washer st ays in place. Close the door . Be sure the door properly al igns to th e cabinet . NOTE : P rovide additional support for the door when mov ing the hinges .
8 Base Grille Remove the Base Grille 1. Open the wine ce llar door . 2. Using a Phil lips screw drive r , remov e the two screws . Push both tabs in toward the center t o release the base grille from the wine ce llar . 3. Remove the bas e grille . Replace the Base Grille 1.
9 Wi n e R ac ks T o Remove an d Replace the Wine Ra cks 1. Pull th e rack forwar d unt il it st ops. P ush in o n the t abs to release the rack. Contin ue pull ing the rack forward and li ft it up and out of the rack s upports. 2. Replace th e rack by inserti ng th e rack in to the su pports and sliding i t toward the rear of the wine cellar .
10 W INE CELLAR CARE Cleaning Clean the win e cella r about once a month to av oid bu ild-up of odors. Wipe up spills immediately . T o clean your wine cellar: 1. Unplug wi ne cellar or d isconnect power . 2. Remove all racks from inside the wine ce llar .
11 Moving When you are moving your wine cell ar to a new home, follow these st eps to prepare it for the move. 1. Remove all wine b ottles fr om the w ine cell ar .
12 The door is difficult to open ■ Is the gasket dirty or sticky? Clean the gasket and t he surface tha t it touches. Rub a thin c oat of paraffin wax on the gasket following cleaning. The door will not close completely ■ Are the racks out of position? Put the racks b ack into th eir correct positions.
