Adjusting the shoe When the blade loses its cutting efficiency in one place along its cutting edge, reposition the shoe to utiliz e a shar p , unused por tion of its cutting edge.
7 Installing or removing the sa w blade CA UTION: • Alwa ys clean out all chips or foreign matter adhering to the blade , blade clamp and/or slider . F ailure to do so ma y cause insufficient tightening of the blade, resulting in a serious injur y .
8 For JR3030T T o install the saw blade , always mak e sure that the blade clamp slee ve is in released position bef ore inser ting the saw blade . If the blade clamp slee ve is in fix ed position, rotate the slee ve to the released position. Inser t the sa w blade into the blade clamp as f ar as it will go .
9 • Alwa ys use a suitable coolant (cutting oil) when cutting metal. F ailure to do so will cause premature blade wear . Press the shoe firmly against the wor kpiece . Do not allow the tool to bounce. Bring the blade into light contact with the workpiece.
