17 Determine vent path ■ Select the route that w ill provide the stra ightest and m ost direct path outdoors. ■ Plan the insta llation to use the fewest numb er of elbo ws and turns. ■ When using elb ows or makin g turns, allo w as much room as possib le.
18 CONNECT V ENT 1. Using a 4" (10.2 cm) c lamp, conn ect vent to exhaust ou tlet in dry er . If connecting to existing v ent, make sure the ven t is clean. T he dryer vent must fit over the drye r exhaust outlet and insi de the exh aust hood . Chec k that the v ent is secured to exhaust hood with a 4" (10.
