3 Location Requirements T o ensure proper ventilation for your refrigerator , allow for a ¹⁄₂ " (1.25 cm) of space on each side and at the top . Allow for a 1" (2.54 cm) space behi nd the refrigerator . If y our refrigerator has an ice maker , allow ex tra space at t he back for the water lin e connecti ons.
4 W ater S upply Requiremen ts Gat her the r equir ed tools and pa rts befo re st artin g instal latio n. Read and fol low the instruct ions provided wi th any tools listed here. TOOLS NEEDED: IMPORT ANT : ■ All ins tallations must meet local plu mbing code requirements.
5 Connect to Refrigerator 1. Remove plasti c cap from water valve inlet port. Attach the copper tube to the valv e inlet using a compressio n nut and sleeve as s hown. Tighten the comp ression nut. Do not overtighten. Confirm copper tubing is secure by p ulling on copper tubi ng.
6 Replace Doo rs and Hinges 1. Assemble the parts for the to p hinge as shown i n T op Hi nge grap hic. Do not tighten the sc rews complete ly . 2. Replace the p arts for the bottom hing e as shown in Bottom Hinge graphic. Tigh ten screws. Replace th e refrigerator door .

8 Adjust t he Doors IMPORT ANT : ■ Y our refrigerator has two adju stable, front le veling screws – one on each side of th e refrigerat or base. If your refrige rator seems uns teady or you wa nt the door to cl ose easier , use t he instr uction s below.
9 Adjusting the Controls For your convenien ce, your refrigerator and free zer controls are preset at the factory . When you first ins tall your refrigerator , make sure that the controls are still set to th e “mid-sett ings.” The factory recommended set points are 38°F (3°C) for the refrigerator and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer .
10 Door Ajar Alar m The Door Ajar Alarm feature sounds an alarm when the refrigerator or freezer door is open for 5 minutes and the product cooling is tu rned on . The alarm will repeat ever y 2 minutes. Close both doors t o turn it of f. The featu re th en r esets and wil l reactivate when either door is left open a gain for 5 minutes.
11 ■ The display screen o n the dispenser control panel will turn off automatically and enter “sleep” mode when the control buttons and dispenser levers have not been used for 2 minutes or mor e. While in “sleep” mode, the first press of a control button will only reactivate the display screen, witho ut changing any settings.
12 W ater F iltr ation System The water filter i s located in the upper righ t-hand cor ner of the refrigerator compartment. Replacing the W ater Filter T o purchase a replacement water filt er , model number UKF8001AXX-200, cont act your dealer or cal l 1-800-6 88-9900 in the U.
13 Changing the Light Bulb NOTE : Not all appli ance bulb s will fit yo ur refrig erato r . Be sur e to replace the bulb w ith an appl iance bu lb of the same si ze, shape, and wattage ( no greater than 40 watt s). ■ The dispens er lights are LEDs th at cannot be ch anged.
14 The doors will not close comp letely ■ Door blocked open? Mov e food packages away from door . ■ Bin or shelf in the way? Push bin or she lf back into the correct positi on. The doors are difficult to ope n ■ Gaskets dirty or sticky? Clean gas kets and conta ct surfaces with m il d soa p and warm water .
15 The water and ice disp enser will not operate properly ■ Refrigerator connected to a water supply and the supply shutoff valve tur ned on? Connect refrigerator to water suppl y and t urn wate r shutof f valve f ully ope n. ■ Kink in the water source line? Strai ghten the water sourc e line .

23 Pour réinstaller les po ignées : 1. Positi onner la poignée de sort e que les g rands trous des agrafes de monta ge soient ve rs le bas et ali gnés avec les goujons de porte. 2. T our ner la p oignée pour que les agraf es de montages soien t à plat contre la po rte et glisser l a poignée vers le bas pour l'embo îter .
