6 Location Requirements Selecting the proper location for your w asher improves performance and minimizes noise and possible washer “w alk. ” Y our washer can be installed under a custom c oun ter , or in a basement, laundry room, closet, or recessed area.

9 T his washer is equipped with a powe r supply cord having a 3 prong grounding plug. T o minimize possible shock hazard, the cord must be plugged into a mating, 3 prong, grounding-type outlet, grounded in accordan ce with local codes and ordinances.
10 Connect the Inlet Hoses 1. Insert new flat w ashers (supplied) into each end of the inlet hoses. F irmly seat the washers in the couplings. AB A. Coupling B. W asher 2. Make sure the washer drum is empty . 3. Att ach the hose with the red color indicator to the Hot (left) inlet v alve.
11 Laundry tub dr ain or standpipe drain Connect the drain hose form to the corrugated drain hose. AB A. Snap either end of the d rain hose form to the drain hose at the point where the corrugation begins . B. Bend drain hose over drain hos e for m and snap into place.
12 6. Check for leaks around faucets and inlet hoses. Electrical Shock Hazard Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong. Do not use an adapter. Do not use an extension cord. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, re, or electrical shock.
13 Efficient Detergent System T his washer has a specially designed valv e that closes during the wash portion of the cycle so that 100% of the water and detergent mixtur e is used on the load. T he Efficient Detergent System ensures that no wate r or detergent is w asted.
14 Mix large and small items and av oid wa shing single items. Load ev enly . It is recommended that you wash small items such as infant socks in a mesh garment bag. When unloading garments, occasionally c hec k under the gra y colored seal at the front of the tub for small items.
15 Main wash compartment (Letter B in Dispenser Ill ustration) Add liquid or powdered HE detergent to this co mpartme nt for your w ash cycle. T he detergent type selector (A) must alw ays be in the correct position for the detergent type used. Slide the detergent type selector to the correct position.
16 T o change Options or Modifiers after the c ycle has started 1. Selec t ST ART/P A USE once. 2. Selec t the desired OPTIONS or MODIFIERS. 3. Selec t ST ART/P A USE (for approximately 1 second) to continue the cycle. T o dr ain the washer manually 1.
17 Delicate Use this c ycle to wash no-iron fabrics and gar ments labeled “P ermanent Press” or “Wrinkle F ree” or that indicate using a “Gentle” c ycle on the care label. T his c ycle combines lo w-speed tumbling and low-speed spin to help reduce wrinkling.
18 Options Y ou can custo mize your w ash by adding options to your c ycle selections. Y ou can add or change an option after starting a c ycle anytim e before the selected option begins. Not all options are a vailable with all cycl es. See the “Laundry Guide” for an o verview of possible options for each W ash Cycle selection.

20 Sorting Separate hea vily soiled items from lightly soiled ones, even if they would normally be washed together . Separate lint-gi vers (towel s, chenille) from lint-takers (corduroy , synthetics, permanent press). When po ssibl e, turn lint-givers inside out.
21 If using liquid chlorine bleac h: Open the dispenser dra wer and immediately add 2 / 3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the blea ch compartment. NOTE: Do not add any detergent to th is c ycle. Use of more than 2 / 3 cup (160 mL) of bleach will cause product dam age over time.

Run the washer through the Normal/Casual c ycle with 1 / 2 the manufacturer’ s recommended amount of HE detergent for a medium-size load, to clean the washer and remov e the antifreeze, if used. T o tr ansport the washer: 1. If washer will be mo ved during freezing weather , put in 1 qt (1 L) of R.
23 Check the follo wing: Is the power cord plugged into a grounded 3 prong outlet? Is the washer door firmly closed? Has a cycle been selected, but S T ART/P AUSE has not been selected and held fo.
24 Did you o verload the w asher? Do not ov erload the washer . T he washer can be fully loaded, bu t not tightly packed. T he wash load must be balanced.

34 3. Une fois que les 4 boulons ont été retirés, jeter les boul ons et les cales d'espacement. Puis tirer le cordon d'aliment ation à tra vers l'ouv e rture du panneau arrière et obturer le trou av ec le bouchon fourni. 4. Obturer les trous des boulons a vec les 4 bouc hons pour les trous des boulons de transport.
35 3. Une fois le tuy au de vidange en pl ace, relâcher la prise de la pince. 4. Le système de vidange de la la veuse peut être installé à l’aide d’ un conduit d'évacuation au plancher , un tuyau de rejet à l’égout - mu ral ou au planch er ou un évier de buanderie.

39 8. P our commencer le progr amme de lav age immédiatement Sélectionner ST ART/P AUSE (mise en m arche/pause). Si on ne sélectionne pas ST ART/P AUSE dans les 60 minutes qui suivent le choix d'un programme, la la veuse s'éteint automatiquement.
