2 Installation 11 MultiModemZPX User Guide Step 1 - Determine System Resour ces Bef ore you physically install y our new MultiModemZPX, you need to determine what system resources are in use on your system. The best w ay to check what resources are in use and which ones are av ailab le, run WINMSD Utility .

2 Installation 14 MultiModemZPX User Guide Step 2 - Configure J umper s The MT5634ZPX board contains se ven Berg jumpers f or setting the interr upt request (IRQ) number and COM port assignment. The jumpers are located on the lower part of the PC board as shown below .

Click on the Next button on the Add Hardware Wizard screen. The wizard will pause a few seconds trying to detect the new device.

If this is the case, try issuing the software’s connection command. If more than one communications program is open, they may conflict with each other.

Try increasing the length of time in minutes the modem will wait before disconnecting when no data is sent or received.
