APPROV AL CONDITIONS AND CARRIA GE REQUIREMENTS T his Inflatable PFD is approved by the U .S . Coast Guard (USCG) for use as a T ype III (Model MD3075) Personal Flotation Device (PFD). It is not approved for water skiing or other high impact, high-speed activities .
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE T his manual supplies instructional, maintenance and safety information for model MD3075 unless specified otherwise . T he model number is listed on the underside label. Congratulations on your Inflatable PFD purchase . Component Inspection Instructions 1) Examine the service indicator through the window panel (Fig.
n Inflatable PFD is not twisted. n Oral-inflation dust cap is in the stowed position (F ig. 6). n "Jerk to inflate" tab exits bottom of pouch. Y our Inflatable PFD is ready for use if all applicable boxes are checked. NO TE: Contact your Mustang Dealer if you have any concerns about the readiness of your Inflatable PFD .

Usage Below F reezing When the temperature is below freezing, the Inflatable PFD should be worn partially inflated because a fully discharged cylinder may not quickly or adequately inflate your Inflatable PFD . Under these conditions use the oral inflator to adequately top-up the PFD , after CO 2 inflation.
4) Raise, and hold, the lever into the inflator housing. Install a new cylinder/bayonet assembly by engaging bayonet tabs in housing, pushing in then turning clockwise 1/8 turn to a full stop (F ig. 8). 5) Examine the service indicator (Fig. 8) and ensure it is GREEN .
6) Refold the Inflatable PFD in accordance with the Repacking section (p . 9). Y OUR INFLA TABLE PFD (MD3075) IS NOW READ Y FOR MANU AL USE Repacking Gently squeeze the Inflatable PFD until all air or gas has been expelled (F ig. 5). Do not wring or twist the Inflatable PFD .
4) Without twisting, fold the bladder over once and place into the centre of the pouch between the two wings (F ig.9). Ensure the yellow inflator pulltab is positioned so it hangs out from the bottom, between the Velcro TM closure . 5) P osition so that green indicator is visible through window .
ii) Ensure the manual pull-tab is accessible . iii) Visually examine your Inflatable PFD for damage or excessive abrasion, wear , tear or contamination. P articular attention must be paid to the stitching, straps and hardware . If in doubt, send it to your Mustang dealer for evaluation and/or servicing.
iv) P erform the Leak T est. See the Leak T est in the Every T wo (2) Months Care and Maintenance Instructions section. v) Ensure the service indicator is green (F ig. 1). vi) Record as an "Annual" inspection in permanent ink on the Care and Storage label, in the Date Maintained column.
