6 Location Requirements Selecting the proper location for your w asher improves performance and minimizes noise and possible washer “w alk. ” Y our washer can be installed under a custom c oun ter , or in a basement, laundry room, closet, or recessed area.

9 T his washer is equipped with a powe r supply cord having a 3 prong grounding plug. T o minimize possible shock hazard, the cord must be plugged into a mating, 3 prong, grounding-type outlet, grounded in accordan ce with local codes and ordinances.
10 Connect the Inlet Hoses 1. Insert new flat w ashers (supplied) into each end of the inlet hoses. F irmly seat the washers in the couplings. AB A. Coupling B. W asher 2. Make sure the washer drum is empty . 3. Att ach the hose with the red color indicator to the Hot (left) inlet v alve.

12 6. Check for leaks around faucets and inlet hoses. Electrical Shock Hazard Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong. Do not use an adapter. Do not use an extension cord. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, re, or electrical shock.

17 Status Indicator T his indicator shows whic h portion of the cycl e the w asher is operating and the estimated time remaining. It also indicat es when y ou can add an addition al item to the wash c ycle and when the controls are locked. Adding item s T his washer al lows an 8-minute period in w h ich other garments may be added to the load.
18 Hea vy Duty Use this c ycle to wash loads of sturd y , colorf ast fabrics, a nd heavily soiled ga rments. T his cycle com bines fast-speed tumbli ng, longer wash time, a nd extra high speed spin to shorten drying times. If the water temperature is lo wer than needed for this c ycle, the heater will warm the w ater to the optimum tempe rature.
19 Options Y ou can customize your wash b y adding option s to your cycle select ions. Y o u can add or change an option after starting a cycle an ytime before the sel ected option begins. Not all options are av ailable with all c ycles. See the “Laundry Guide” for an o verview of possible options for each W ash Cycle selection.

22 W ASHER CARE Cleaning Y our W asher Cleaning the door seal 1. Open the washer door and remove an y clothing or items from the washer . 2. Inspec t the gra y colored seal between the doo r opening and the bask et for stained ar eas. Pull back t he seal to inspect areas unde r the seal.
23 Cleaning the Di spenser Dr awer T he dispenser dra wer is remov able for easy cleaning. 1. Open the dispenser dra wer . Unlock the dispen se r drawer b y pressing the Release Lever on the left side of the dispenser dr awer . See “Using the Dispenser”.

25 W asher stops Check the follo wing: Is the power cord plugged into a grounded 3 prong outlet? Is there power at the plug? Check electrical source or call an electrician. Has a household fuse blown, or has a circuit breaker tripped? Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker .
26 Did you use enough HE detergent? Use enough detergent to remove soil and hold it in suspension. Use only H E detergent. F ollow the manufacturer’ s instructio ns to determine the amount of detergent to use. Is there abo ve av erag e iron (rust) in w ater? Y ou may need to install an iron filter .
