2.6 Alarm cable con nection Example of alarm output connection: Attention : The alarm output is TTL high level control. T he connection method is described in detail in the Above picture. This DVR can carry sixteen sensor alar m input signals and four alarm ou tput sign als.
Basic operation guide 3.1 How to st art the DVR Attention : Before powering on the ma chine, please make sure the power i nput (1 10V/220V) of DVR matches the local power supply , if not , please move the red flip switch on the rear panel to the correct input.

There are two users in the origin DVR system. One is Admin which has highest priority to set system’s configuration and whose password is “000 0”, the other is common user which is just all o wed to see t he live play and the playback picture and does not have the ri ght to change the user p assword, which is done by Admin users.
3.2.1 SETUP-SYSTEM The menu is as above: (Fig 3.2.2 System setup) ADMIN P ASSWORD : Administrator password is “0000” by default, only the administrator has the right to change it which is comprised of four numbers between 0 an d 9 (F ig 3.2.3 Setup admin password).
USER P ASSWORD : Co mmon u s er password is “0000” by default as well. However , only the administrator is authorized to change it which is comprised of fo ur numbers between 0 and 9. P ASSWORD CHECK : If you choose “ON”, user s have to input the password before entering men us.
BOTTOM-BLACK : T ime is displayed at the bottom in black OFF : There is no time displayed in the play back mode. CURRENT ST A TUS VIEW : Choose “ON”, there will be some information appeari ng on the screen.

LOCK/UNLOCK : Lock/unlock the record. Use ent er key to ch ange the status (Fig 3.2.24 Lock/Unlock file). If the file is lo cked, then the re cord can not be deleted or overwritten eve n though the HDD is full.

3.2.5 SETUP-NETWORK (Fig 3.2.27 Setup network) TYPE : ST A TIC : S tatic IP address. Push “Up” “Down” “left” “Right” b u t t on s to move the cursor amon g the digits and push ADD or DEC key to modify t he IP address. (Fig 3.2. 28 Setup static IP).
3.2.5.1 Monitoring From a Computer on Same Router On the PC Client, open up the Internet Explorer and e nter the IP of the DVR (example http://192.168.0.200 ), you will get below screen with the login already filled in, default user name is (netuser) a nd password (0000).
3.2.5.2 Monitoring From a Remote Computer Plug the RJ45 cable from the back of DV R to the Switch / Hub or Router. By Default the network setting on this DVR are as follow: IP ADDRESS: 192.168.1.200 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 From a PC connected to the same Router, find the IP addre ss by typing IPCONFIG at command promp t.
Port 1 is used for logon; Port 2 is used for controlling the DVR; Port 3 is used for live surveillance; Port 4 is used for backup; Port 5 is used for playing back. NET CLIENT ID: The default ID is “NetUser”, t he user can set other four IDs and passwords for viewing throug h t h e network.
3.2.5.3 Play Back Recorded File To play back the recorded file, you need to use the CLIENT Software. Install the NETCLIENT Software and run netclient.exe, you will get the below screen and cli ck on CONNECT and enter the IP, logi n name is “netuser” and password “0 000”.
NETWORK THROUGHP UT : T o setup the transfer speed of t he DVR in the n etwork. There are nine options to choose from: unlimited, 64KBPS, 128KBPS, 256KBPS, 512KBPS, 1 MBPS, 2MBPS, 4MBPS, 10MBPS. Users can choose the option according to t he demand (Fig 3.

3.3.3 BACKUP & VIEW BACKUP Backup Press the Backup button (Fig 3.3.3 Setup ba ckup). This DVR supports five media types: CD-R , CD- RW , DVD-R, DVD-R W , USB-MEMORY (Including USB flash drive and mobile hard disk), and supports backup to DVD-RW , C D-R W , internally and as w ell as USB externally .

3.3.7 LOG LIST Press the Log button on the remote control, the system will enter the setup menu of log file (Fig 3.3.1 1 Setup log file). LOG FILE: If you choose ALL, the following options will be displayed: MOTION, SENSOR, ALARM, V - LOSS, SYSTEM, HDD, FLIE, DB, POWER , NET .
FROM: The beginning time of the log file, you can use the number key to change the time. TO: The end time of the log file, you c an use the number key to change the time. Press the OK op tion, the system will enter the event l og view (Fi g 3.3.12 Event log view): Use “Up” “Down” buttons to move the cursor to the log file needed.
3.4 Search record Press the “Search” button on the remote control, t here are three search modes which will be displayed on the screen (Fig 3.4.1 Search) TIME SEARCH EVENT SEARCH FILE SEARCH Attention: Search recordings by time search or file search, search all event recordings by event search.
TIME SEARCH : Attention: All the records can be searched in this menu. Operation: Date choose: Press ENTER to access the CALENDAR TIME menu, Use “Up” “Down” “Left” “Right” b utt ons to move cursor to t he date needed to search.(Fig 3.4.
T ime choose: Below the Y ear-Month s etup, there is the calendar of one month. The s ele ct ed date is in green, press ENTER to select the time c hoose menu. (Fig 3.4.2 T ime choose-Page 79).
