Antennas To enjoy a clearer picture, use an outdoor antenna. The following is a brief explanation of the types of connections that are used for a coaxial cable. If your outdoor antenna uses a 75-ohm coaxial cable with an F-type connector, plug it into the antenna terminal at the rear of the TV set.
13 Preparation You can connect many types of external equipment to your TV like a game console, Blu-ray disc player, HD-DVD player, DVD player, VCR, Digital TV tuner, HDMI equipment or camcorder. To view external source images, select the input source from INPUT on the remote control unit or on the TV.
NOTE • To enjoy the AQUOS 1080p display capability, connect your external equipment using a component cable and set the equipment to 1080p output. • See page 16 for connecting a Blu-ray disc player, HD-DVD player, DVD player or a Digital TV STB to the HDMI terminal.

50 Useful adjustment settings Software Update This function allows software updates by inserting a USB memory device with the update fi le into the SERVICE terminal on the TV. Regarding how to obtain the software update fi le, please call 1-800-BE-SHARP.

You can operate AQUOS LINK-compatible devices with the remote control unit when the FUNCTION of the remote control unit is set to TV. REC STOP and OPTION buttons will function only when AQUOS LINK is used. ■ One Touch Play While the TV is in standby mode, it automatically turns on and plays back the image from the HDMI source.

Selecting Media Type for CEC-compatible Recorder You can switch the media (HDD or DVD) for playback or recording on the AQUOS LINK-compatible recorder. Press a / b to select “Media change”, and then press ENTER . Select the desired media such as DVD or HDD.
One Touch Playback AQUOS LINK allows you to operate the HDMI- connected equipment with one remote control. Press d to start playing back a title. • The last played program is played back.
