7 • EN Return to contents Quick Star t Guide to Na vigation 1. T ake the Snooper outside so that the GPS receiver can locate your position. This ma y take between 15 - 30 minutes the first time. When sat ellite lock is achieved, the scr een will display your curren t position on its map in a ‘3D’ navigation view .
8 • EN Return to contents TTip: The default route options are set to Quick est Route. T o change the route options refer to Sec tion 6 in this user manual . 4. Pr ess and Snooper will calculate the fastest route fr om your current position to y our destination.
9 • EN Return to contents Star t Up – Installing the SD Car d Before using the Snooper , you will need to install the Micro-SD Card included with the device. T he Micro-SD Card comes complete with digital mapping and is also wher e the A URA™ camera database is stored if you choose t o subscribe and download it.

16 • EN Return to contents Lane Guidance. Snoopers’ advanc ed lane guidance will assist the driver by clarifying which lane the vehicle should be using . Snooper has extensive cov erage of motorway , complex junctions, some dual carriage way exits and some inner city junctions.
17 • EN Return to contents Additional warning or informa tion pop ups will appear at the bottom left hand corner of the screen. If lane guidance is displayed then the warning pop ups will be displayed at the t op left hand side of the screen.

22 • EN Return to contents 3. Planning a route There ar e several ways t o plan a route on Snooper . 3.1 Find b y post code Press the centr e of the screen to access the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu.
23 • EN Return to contents Once the calculation is complete y ou can either press ‘G o’ to star t navigation, ‘Simula tion’ t o see the actual route that will be taken, ‘Route Option ’ to change the parameters of the r oute or ‘ Guide ’ which will list the turn by turn instructions of the jour ney .
24 • EN Return to contents 3.3.1 Home Y ou can navigate easily and quickly from a previous journey or destination to y our home, by personalising Snooper so that a r oute can be calculated by pr essing just a few buttons. 3.3.2 Setting the ‘Home’ Destination Press the centr e of the display to enter the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu.
25 • EN Return to contents 3.4 Offi ce Y ou can navigate easily and quickly from a previous journey or destination to y our office or place of work, by personalising Snooper so that a route can be calculat ed by pressing just a few butt ons.
26 • EN Return to contents Once a route has been calcula ted, the ‘Recent Rout e’ icon is replaced with a ‘ Clear Route’ icon. T o cancel a route that you ha ve calculated: Press the centr e of the screen to enter the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu.
27 • EN Return to contents If you are happy with the start position, you can now begin to en ter the data of your first destination. Press ‘A d d ’ – you are provided with sever al option.

30 • EN Return to contents 3.9 Find b y POI (points of interest) If you would like to calculat e a route to a hotel , airpor t, restaurant or ev en a golf course Snooper can calculate a rout e using its extensive database of POI’ s (Poin ts of Interest).
31 • EN Return to contents 3.10 Find b y nearest POI This function will help you to find the nearest POI fr om either your ‘ Curr ent Position ’ or a ‘Differen t Position ’ within a cer tain radius which can specified up to a maximum of 60 miles.

38 • EN Return to contents 3.14.1 A void By Road Name If you know the road name or road number you wish t o avoid, then select this option. Press ‘ A void b y Road Name’ . Y ou will be provided with the turn by turn instructions of the route that you ar e currently follo wing.
39 • EN Return to contents 3.14.3 Clear A voided Road If you do not wish to use the alternative r outes offer ed by Snooper and you wish to return t o the original calculated route , press the ‘ Clear A voided Road’ button and the original route plotted b y Snooper will be restored .
40 • EN Return to contents T o calculate a route which is appropriat e for your v ehicle, once a second link has been added the f ollowing screen will be display ed: if this is the correct vehicle press ‘ C alculate ’ or if you need to change the vehicle pr ess ‘ Change’ .
41 • EN Return to contents 3.16 Route Description After a route has been calculat ed and the journey has commenced, you can ac cess the summar y display again b y using this function. T o view the summar y screen: Press the centr e of the screen to enter the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu.

This unique, c ontent rich, data is supplied by some of the biggest camping organizations in Eur ope: ASCI , Bordatlas and Camperstop (by F acile en Route).

Pr ess OK to continue Pr ess ‘Review facilities selected’ to show a summary of the facilities chosen. If required, you can r emove some of the facilities On this screen you can edit the selected facilities.
46 • EN Return to contents 4.1.1 Add a fa vourite destination Press the centr e of the screen to access the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu. Press ‘ My F avourit e’ at the t op of the display . Press the ‘F a vourites’ icon. Press ‘A d d ’ .

48 • EN Return to contents 4.4 Home T o set up and use this func tion was explained in Section 3.3 earlier in the manual. When this function is accessed from the ‘My F av ourite ’ menu, you ar e able to change the ‘Home’ location (f or example if you mov e house) or to delete the ‘Home ’ location.

54 • EN Return to contents This facility customises the map view between T o make your selection, touch the relevant tick box with y our finger . 5.6.2 Speed/Time This option allows y ou to change the information display ed in the bottom left hand side of the navigation screen between the vehicle speed and the current time.

Y ou can search f or addresses using POI’ s and save POI ’ s in your list of favourites . Y ou can also choose which of the POI’ s you would like to hav e indicated on your map .
57 • EN Return to contents 5.9 Camera alert In order for this feature to operate you will need to subscribe to and do wnload the AURA™ Camer a Database onto Snooper. See ‘Registering Snooper’ (Page 4) and ‘System R equirements & Downloading’ (page 8) for further details.

No: This will turn off the confirmation beep when the screen is touched. T o make your selection, touch the relevant tick box with y our finger .

61 • EN Return to contents 5.14 TMC This featur e allows you t o configure the type of TMC alerts you receive along with the facility to view the radio tuner that sear ches for TMC transmissions when the TMC aerial is plugged into the TMC socket.
62 • EN Return to contents 5.15 GPS status Y ou can check the health of the GPS connection of your unit at any time as well as being able to see the exact coordinat es of your current position by using this featur e. Press the centr e of the screen to enter the ‘Na vigate to ’ menu.
63 • EN Return to contents 5.19 Route T imer This function allows you to set an alert for when you need t o take a break. Set the maximum driving time allowed and set the advanced warning time you r equire befor e your next break is due.

67 • EN Return to contents 6.4 Change Start Position Y ou can use this function if you would like to calculate a rout e but from a differ ent location to the one you ar e currently at. F irst input your destination address as normal but when you reach the Summary page, press the ‘Route Option ’ button.
68 • EN Return to contents 7.1 V olume Setting Selecting this option opens the V olume menu whereb y you can increase or decr ease the audio level of the unit. P ress the ‘V olume Contr ol’ icon. T o adjust the volume, use your finger to pr ess either the button to increase the v olume or the button to decrease the volume .
69 • EN Return to contents 8.0 Understanding the Mapping Screen Distance to next junction or instruction Whilst navigating a calculat ed route the Snooper display will show an information bo x. This box will tell y ou the next road you should be travelling on and the distance to that turn.
70 • EN Return to contents 10. Bluetooth (NO T S2500) This unit is equipped with Bluetooth functionality . Y ou can use it as a hands free system f or a mobile phone that is equipped with Bluetooth. Pr ess the centre of the screen t o enter the ‘Navigate to ’ menu.
