17 17 ENGLISH A Disc c ompartment cover Push the - mark on the cover t o raise the cover . B SNOOZE button When the wakeup timer is on, press this button to put the unit in standby for 5 minutes . Y ou can also use this button to change the brightness of the display .

21 21 ENGLISH Setting the clock ( 1 ) Set the current time before using the unit. Y ou can set the clock both when the unit is on and in standby . 1 P ress and hold the CL OCK ADJUST button for at least tw o seconds. Pr ess and hold for at least 2 seconds Release the button when “12 H” or “24 H” blinks on the display .
22 22 Setting the clock ( 2 ) In this section, we explain the basic procedures for using all the functions. 1 Pr ess the ST ANDB Y/ON button to turn the unit on. 2 Pr ess the FUNC TION button to switch the source . Pr ess this button to cycle through playback sour ces in the following or der .
23 23 ENGLISH 3 Start playback and turn the VOL UME k nob to adjust the volume . T urn up to raise the volume or down to lower th e volume. Muting the output T o mute the sound temporarily , press the MUTING button. Pr ess the MUTING button again to rest ore the sound.
24 24 Listening to a CD /MP 3 / WMA disc 1 Pr ess the FUNC TION button to select “ CD” . 2 P ush the - mark on the cov er to open the disc compartment. 3 Plac e a disc with the labeled side facing up and close the cov er by hand. o Do not inser t multiple discs at the same time.
25 25 ENGLISH Pl a yback ( 1 ) Skipping track s/files During playback and when paused, press a skip ( .m / ,/ ) button to sk ip to the previous or next track/file. Keep pressing until you r each the track/file you want. Playback will start from the beginning of the selected track/file.

28 28 When the function is CD, you can pr ogram up to 32 tracks/ files in the order that you want to pla y them back. 1 Pr ess the FUNC TION button to select “ CD” . 2 Pr ess the PROGR AM button when playback is stopped. 29 29 ENGLISH 4 When pr o gramming has been finished, press the play/pause ( y / 9 ) button t o start programmed pla yback. o T o cancel programmed playback, press the stop ( 8 ) button once.
30 30 Addin g tracks to the end of t he program 1 When st opp ed, press the PR OGRAM but - ton repeatedly t o show the number “P XX” , which is one higher than the last program number . When programming MP3/WMA files Use the MP3 FOLDER ( 5 / b ) buttons to select the folder that contains the file you want t o add.
31 31 ENGLISH When the CD function is active, press the PLA Y MODE button to cycle through the following pla yback modes. Audio CD REPEA T (single track repeat) REPEA T ALL (all track repeat) SHUFFLE .
32 32 Repeat, shuff le and in t ro pla yback ( 2 ) Shuffle playb ack All the tracks/files on the disc are played back randomly . SHUFFLE Pr ess the PLA Y MODE button repeatedly until “SHUFFLE” appears on the display . o During shuffle playback, press the sk ip ( ,/ ) but - ton to start playback of the next random track/file.
33 33 ENGLISH Y ou can connect the audio output jack or headphones jack of a portable audio player or other device to this unit and listen to its audio playback thr ough this unit.
34 34 Listening to a Blue tooth device With this unit, you can enjoy listening t o music played back on another Bluetooth device wirelessly . 1 Pr ess the FUNC TION button to select “BL UE T OOTH” . o The unit will automatically try to connect to the previously connected device.
35 35 ENGLISH 3 Enable the Bluetooth c ommunic ation func - tion on the other Bluetooth device . 4 F rom the Bluetooth device select “SL-D930” (this unit). o If a passke y is required during pairing, input “0000” . When connection succeeds, two short beeps will sound and “CONNEC TED” will appear on the display.
36 36 1 P ress the FUNCTION button repeatedly t o select “FM” or “ AM” . 2 U se the TUNING knob to selec t a station. Automa tic tuning T urn the TUNING knob up or down. Release it when the frequency star ts to change on the display . When a radio station is being received , the frequenc y display change will stop automatically .
37 37 ENGLISH Y ou can store presets f or up to 20 FM and 20 AM stations. 1 T une in to the station you want to st ore ( page 36 ). 2 Pr ess the PROGR AM button. Pr eset number 3 W ithin five seconds , press the skip ( ,/ ) button to select a preset number to store the sta tion.
38 38 RDS ( only for Europe ) The Radio Data System (RDS) is a broadcasting service that allows stations to send additional information along with regular radio prog ramme signals. o RDS works on the FM frequency band in Europe only . 1 T une in to an FM RDS station (page 36).
39 39 ENGLISH PT Y search ( on ly for Eu rope ) ( 1 ) 1 2 3 Y ou can search for stations by pr ogram type. This function is available only through the RDS services of FM fr equency stations in Europe. 1 Pr ess the FUNC TION button to select FM. 2 P ress and hold the PTY button for a t least two seconds .

41 41 ENGLISH This unit has a wakeup timer function. At the set time, sound will be output from the speakers. o Adjust the clock befor e setting the timer (page 21). 1 Pr ess and hold the TIMER button f or at least two seconds . Pr ess and hold for at least 2 seconds “ON” appears and the hour value blinks.
42 42 The minute value blinks. 3 Pr ess the sk ip ( .m / ,/ ) buttons to set the minute of the start time and press the TIMER button. After the timer start time has been set, “OFF” appears and the hour value blinks. Wa k e u p t i m e r (2) 4 Pr ess the sk ip ( .

44 44 T urning of f the t imer Pr ess the TIMER button to turn the wakeup timer off. The TIMER indicator disappears from the display . o When you press the TIMER button to turn the timer off , the timer off (standby) time appears on the display f or a few seconds.
45 45 ENGLISH If you experience a problem with this unit, please check the following items bef ore requesting service. If it still does not operate correctly, contact the retailer where you pur chased the unit. General The unit will not turn on. e Check that the power cord is plugged into a w or king power outlet.
46 46 MP3/WMA files Playback is not possible. e Check the file format. MP3 files are recog nized by the “ .mp3” file ex tension and WMA files by the “ .wma ” extension. e The MP3/WMA file might be damaged. e Confirm that the file format is one that this unit can play back (page 12).
47 47 ENGLISH This unit uses a microprocessor , so external noise and other interference can cause the unit to stop functioning prop - erly. In such cases, unplug the pow er cord from the outlet once and wait a little while. Then, repower the unit and try the operation again.

86 86 La valeur des minutes clignote . 3 Av ec les touches de saut ( .m / ,/ ), réglez la valeur des minutes pour le r éveil et appuyez sur la touche TIMER. Après réglage de l'heur e de réveil, «OFF» apparaît et la valeur des heures clignote .
87 87 FRANÇAIS 6 Av ec les touches de saut ( .m / ,/ ), sélectionnez la source de lecture désirée et appuyez sur la touche TIMER. « A UX » et « BLUETOO TH » ne peuvent pas être choisies. Sélectionnez BUZZER pour une sonnerie élec tronique.

90 90 F ichiers MP3/WMA La lecture n'est pas possible . e Vérifiez le f ormat du fichier . Les fichiers MP3 se recon - naissent à leur extension de fichier « .mp3 » et les fichiers WMA à leur extension «.wma». e Le fichier MP3/WM A peut être endommagé.
91 91 FRANÇAIS Cette unité utilise un micr oprocesseur , donc des parasites ou autres interférences externes peuvent interrompre son bon fonctionnement. Dans de tels cas, débranchez le cor - don d'alimentation de la prise secteur et attendez un peu.
