10 Getting started What is a SIM card ? Every mobile phone has a SIM card (Subscriber Identity Module). This is a micr o-chip that ho lds your pers onal information such as names and phone numbers. Your p hone won’ t work without it. If you already have contacts on your SIM card, they can be transferred in most cases.
11 Getting started Insert the battery as follows: 1. Insert t he battery b y aligning the g old contacts in th e battery compartment on the phone. 2. Push down on the u pper section of the batt ery until it 'clicks' into place. 3. Close th e b attery compartment by sliding the cover closed until you hear a ‘click’.
12 Getting started 3. The phone m ay need several hours for reaching a fully charge. When your phone is power off, it might take a few seconds to sho w charging display and it shows charge complete when finished.
13 Getting started Note: If you enter an incorrect PIN -code 3 times in succession, the phone will require you to en ter the P UK-code. You r eceived this PUK-code toge ther with your SIM card. To lock the handset keypad In the idle screen, press End Key to enter the locked state.

15 Getting started Earphone This icon shows wh en you plu g th e earphone in. Voice will be heard from th e earphone. Missed Calls This icon shows when yo u are viewing the missed call.
16 Getting started Battery capacity This icon’s colour changes according t o the status of batt ery capacity: , , , Menu Operation Menu lists are used for set up and operation. The left and ri ght soft keys initially are Men u ( ) and Phonebook ( ).
17 Getting started Connect an optional headset You can use a headset (not supplied) with the 3.5 mm type , plugged into the Headset socket on the top side of the handset. When using headsets, including Binatone appro ved ones, pay attention to volume levels and read its u ser guide for safety instructions.
18 Call function Make a call: 1. To make a call, enter the phone number wi th the p refix and press the green key . For international calls, enter ‘+’ by pressing for 2 s ec. Then enter the c ountry code followed by the telephone number, in which the 0 of the prefix must be dropped.
19 Call function Answering a call: When th ere is an incomin g call, th e phone rings and/or vibrates and shows the number or the corresponding name . 1. Press the green key or Answer i f you would like to answer a call. 2. Press the red key or silent if you would like to reject a call, or for ending the connection after the cal l.

21 Phonebook You can store names and phone numbers in the Internal phone book (up to300) and in the SIM phone book (SIM dependant, but a maximum o f 20 0) .
22 Phonebook To delete all entries from the ph one or SIM c ard 1. Select Menu , Phonebook and press Left soft key . 2. Select Advanced and pres s Left soft key 3. Select Delete all Contacts and press Left soft key 4. Select From Pho ne or From SIM Delete all 5.
23 Messages You can receive and send Messages: SMS and MMS . Here you can also c hoose Voic e Mail and Broadcast . These services a re web-based ser vices. Please contact your network operator before using. Write SMS You can write and send text m essages.
24 Messages Inbox: The Inbox is for storing received SMS message s. Depending on the selected m ode, the phone vibrates or ring s when you receive a new message.
25 Messages Outbox: The Outbox to view the messages you don’t sent but saved. You can choose t he following options while reading your sent SMS: View, Resend, Edit, Delete, Message status and Details . Drafts: By Drafts you can view the draft SMS messages you have saved.
26 Messages 7. You can enter numb ers directly or select more numb ers to send in group. 8. Pres s Right soft key 9. Select Send and press Left soft key Voice mail: Voicemail is a service supplied by your network operator. For more information and f or the voice mailbox numb er, contact your network o perator.
27 Messages Broadcast: Broadcast m essages are messages that your n etwork operator broadcasts to all users within a particular a rea, such as weather forecast and transportation conditions. The new broadcast message covers the old one if they are from the same channel.
28 Messages MMS Data account: Choo se the Data account fo your network operator If you want edit or create a new Data account see on page 38 , Data account MMS settings : Here you c an edit your M MS message settings.
29 Call center Call history Missed Dialled, , an d Received: The phone registers the phone numbers of Mis sed , Received, Dialled and All calls . When you press OK by Missed, Dialled or Received , y ou can view the calls you Missed, Dialled or Received.
30 Call center Call divert: To divert your incoming calls to yo ur voice mailbox or some other phone number (network service). Select the divert option you w ant. Several divert options may be active at the same time. Call barring: With this network service you can restrict the m aking and receiving of calls with your phone.
31 Organizer Alarm: You can set a maximum of 5 differe nt alarms. To set an alarm clock: 1. Select one alarm and press Edit . 2. Edit alarm: set O n or O ff (M1/M3 key) , Time, Repeat, alarm tone, and Alert type . 3. Press Save to save the Alarm . When alarm sounds, you can stop the a larm by pressing Stop.
32 Organizer Calculator: The phone is p rovided with a calc ulator. This calculator has limited accuracy and rounding errors may o ccur, especially in long divisions. Function: The keys 1 to 0 insert a digit. To insert a decimal, press # . Press the up and down arrow key for +, - Press M1, M2 and M3 key for x, =, ÷.
33 Organizer File Manager: Press th e Left soft key to enter F ile manager. After inserting the memory card, there are two options you can choose: Phone and Memory card . Sel ect on e of them and you can see the contents as follows: Enter Phone or Memory ca rd and then press the Left soft key to access the submenus.
34 Camera Take a picture: Aim the camera lens at the place/object, and press key “ M2 ” , to take a picture. Keep the camera lens steady for a while for a better image quality. Select Menu , Camera and press Left soft key In the camera interface, pressing the Left soft key can enter these menus: Photos: Here you can view the saved pictures.
35 Camera Scene mode: Here you can choose between: Auto or Night. Storage: Choose storage: Phone or Memory card Restore default: Restore the default settings. Note: The photos are stored on the phone, for more pictures please use a memory card. So please install this card if you want to tak e and save pictur es.
36 Settings Tone settings: You can choose the following optio ns: Incoming call, Ringtone volume, Message tone, Mess age vo lume, Alarm tone, Alarm volume, Keypad tone, Keypad volume, Power on, Power off, System alert, alert type and Ring type. Display : Here you can choose your Wallpaper and LCD backlight .
37 Settings If no emergency number is saved or your phone card has run out, or you are not allowed under a foreign network (e.g. Roaming not activated), you can dial 112 o r another emergency number on the numerical keypad. SOS description : Press the SOS button on th e back of the mobile pho ne for 3 seconds.
38 Settings When changing a pho ne card: Always mak e sure that there is su fficient c redit on yo ur pho ne c ard because private emergency numbers cannot be d ialled without sufficient credit. Attention: If the SOS call is forw arded to the voicemail, the SOS mode will end.
39 Settings Language: Here you can choose the language you want in your display. Pref. Input method: Here you can choose the Input method you want for write. Connectivity: You can connect wirelessly to other Bluetooth compatible devices such as headsets or MMS add/edit data accounts.
40 Settings Search audio device: 1. Press OK, the phone is going to search for new devices. 2. Select the devi ces you want to c onnect with and press Pair. 3. When connec ting with an other Bluetooth device you need a shared passcode. Enter the passcode and press OK.

44 FAQ Bad talking quality: Weak signal? See: Weak signal or no signal. Check if battery if batt ery is low. Cha rge the battery or change the battery. Use the up v olume key to adjust the microphone volume during a call. Can’t make a call: Check if you enter th e correct number and press green key .
