The siren in the vehicle will “chirp” once and the parking lights will flash once. If the power door locks have been connected, the doors will lock.

Note: Call the police immediately if you witness a crime in progress. ➤ Modified Arming Modes The Responder gives you an unprecedented level of control over how it will protect your car . “Normal arming” means that all the Responder security features are active automatically .
21 © 2008 Directed Electronics. All rights reserved. Sensor Silent Mode In this mode, a sensor cannot trigger the siren. All entr y points (doors, hood, etc.) will still trigger the siren. Press the A U X button three times, and then press the A U X button.

26 © 2008 Directed Electronics. All rights reserved. ➤ Manual transmission vehicles If the vehicle has manual transmission the proper steps must be fol- lowed before leaving the parked vehicle or the remote star t feature is disabled. Put the transmission in neutral.
27 © 2008 Directed Electronics. All rights reserved. ➤ Timer mode T o activate the runtime of the vehicles engine during remote star t: Important: Use Timer Mode in open areas only . Never star t and run the vehicle in an enclosed space such as a garage or carport.

33 © 2008 Directed Electronics. All rights reserved. Diagnostics The microprocessor at the hear t of your system is constantly monitoring all of the switches and sensors connected to it. It is designed to detect any faulty switches and sensors and prevent them from disabling the entire system.

Power Window Control: Automatic power window control is provided with the 529T and 530T systems. These can operate power windows, and can roll them up automatically when the system is armed, roll them down, or both up and down.
