3 Installing the TV INSPECTING THE PACKAGE CONTENTS Bef or e installing y our new TV , tak e a moment to inspect the pack age contents. Use the images below t o ensur e nothing is missing or damaged.
1 4 Place the base upside down resting on a ledge. Then slide the neck piece downward into place. 1 Attach the neck piece by tightening the four (4) included M4 8mm Pan Head Screws into the center holes as shown.
1 5 Slide the collar piece downward into place over the neck. 3 This Product Sold Separately Place the TV screen-down on a clean, flat surface. To prevent scratches or damage to the screen, place the TV on a soft surface, such as carpet, rug, or blanket.
1 6 Slide the base cover into place. 5 Place the TV on a stable, level surface. 6.

1 11 Attach the base bracket to the neck and base cover by tightening the four (4) included M5 8mm screws into the appropriate holes near the center. 3 This Product Sold Separately Tighten the five (5) included M4 8mm screws into the appropriate holes marked by arrows.
1 12 Slide the collar piece downward into place over the neck. 5 Place the TV screen-down on a clean, flat surface. To prevent scratches or damage to the screen, place the TV on a soft surface, such as carpet, rug, or blanket. Align the base with the TV and tighten the four (4) included M5 16mm phillips screws.
1 13 Slide the base cover into place. 7 Place the TV on a stable, level surface. 8.

2 19 Remot e Control - Back ARROW Navigate the on-screen menu. SHIFT Press and hold while pressing another key to enter a capital letter. ALT Press and hold while pressing another key to enter a blue character. For example, press ALT and W to enter a # character.

4 25 Completing the First-Time Setup The first time y ou turn on the TV , the Setup App will guide you thr ough each of the steps necessary t o get your TV r eady f or use. Bef or e you begin the first-time setup: • Y our TV should be installed and the po wer cor d should be connect ed to an electrical outlet.
5 26 Using the On-Screen Menu Y our TV featur es an easy-to-use on-scr een menu. T o open the on-screen men u, press the MENU butt on on the r emot e. Y ou can also open the on-screen men u by pr essing the VIA butt on and selecting HDTV Settings fr om the VIA Dock, then pr essing OK .
5 27 CHANGING THE INPUT SOURCE Ext ernal devices such as D VD players, Blu-Ray Players , and video game consoles can be connect ed to y our TV . T o use one of these devices with y our TV , you m ust first change the input sour ce in the on-scr een menu.
5 28 SETTING UP CLOSED CAPTIONING Y our TV can display closed captions f or pr ogr ams that include them. Closed captions display a tr anscription of a pr ogr am’ s dialogue. If the pr ogram y ou are vie wing is not being br oadcast with closed captions, the TV will not display them.

5 32 Adjusting the Pictur e Size and Position When displaying an image, the size and position of the display image can be adjust ed. T o adjust the picture size and position: 1 . Fr om the Picture men u, use the Arr ow butt ons on the remot e to highlight More , then pr ess OK .

5 35 USING THE NETWORK CONNECTION MENU Y our TV is internet-r eady , f eaturing both an ethernet por t and built-in high-speed wir eless-N. Connecting t o a Wireless Netw ork T o connect to a wir eles.
5 36 Changing the Adv anced Network Settings Adv anced users can fine-tune the network settings using the Manual Setup f eature . T o change advanced netw ork settings: 1 . Fr om the Network Connection menu, highlight Manual Setup and pr ess OK . The IP Setting menu is displa yed.
5 37 CHANGING THE TV SETTINGS Using the settings menu, you can: • Change the input sour ce • Set up the TV tuner • Name the TV inputs • Set up par ent al contr ols • Change the on-scr een me.
5 38 Adding New Channels Occasionally , you ma y need to add a ne w analog channel or add a new r ange of channels. Y ou can do this by using the P ar tial Channel Sear ch and Add Analog Channel options. T o add a range of ne w channels: 1 . Fr om the T uner Settings menu, highlight Partial Channel Sear ch and pr ess OK .
5 39 Skipping Channels Aft er a channel scan is complet ed, you ma y find that some channels ar e too w eak to w atch comf or tably . Ther e may also be some channels y ou do not want t o view . Y ou can r emov e these channels fr om the TV’ s memor y with the Skip Channel featur e.
5 40 Using the Par ental Contr ols The TV’ s par ental contr ols allow y ou to pr ev ent the TV fr om displaying certain channels or pr ogr ams without a passw or d. Accessing the Par ental Contr ols Menu T o access the Par ent al Contr ols menu: 1 .
5 41 Blocking and Unblocking Cont ent by Rating A channel may sometimes br oadcast pr ogr ams that ar e meant f or childr en, and at other times br oadcast pr ogr ams that ar e meant f or matur e audiences. Y ou ma y not want t o block the channel complet ely using a channel lock, but you may wish t o block certain pr ogr ams fr om being viewed.
5 42 Changing the Names of the Inputs T o make it easier t o recognize the dif fer ent devices att ached t o the inputs on y our TV , you can r ename the inputs. For ex ample, if y ou have a D VD player connect ed to the Component input, you can r ename that input t o display “DVD Play er”.
5 43 Setting the Time Zone T o ensure the corr ect time is displayed when y ou press the INFO butt on, set the TV’ s time zone: T o have the TV display the corr ect time, you m ust be connect ed to the int ernet via an Ethernet cable or a wir eless network.
5 44 T urning the VIZIO Logo On or Off The VIZIO logo on the front of y our TV is set t o light up when the TV is on. Y ou can change this setting if you pr efer the logo t o be of f . When the TV is of f , the VIZIO logo will be a dim color . This is not af f ected b y the VIZIO L ogo menu.

5 46 Using Guided Setup The TV’ s Setup App can be used to easily set up the TV tuner or t o connect the TV with your network. T o access guided setup: 1 . Pr ess the MENU butt on on the r emot e. 5 47 USING THE INFO WINDOW The Inf o Windo w can be displayed b y pr essing the INFO or GUIDE butt on on the r emote: • Pr ess the INFO or GUIDE butt on one time to displa y channel and input inf ormation. • Pr ess the INFO or GUIDE butt on two times t o display the pr ogram title and c losed captioning information.
