7 Bakeware The bakeware mat erial affects cooking r esults. Follow manufacturer’ s recommendations an d use the bakeware size recommended in the recipe. Use the following ch art as a guide. Oven V e nt The oven vent should not be blocked or cover ed since it allows the release of hot air and moisture from the oven.
8 Sabbath Mode The Sabbath M ode sets th e oven to remain on in a ba ke setting until tur ned off. A ti med Sa bbath Mode can a lso be se t to kee p the oven on for only part of the Sabbath. When the Sab bath Mode is s et, the num ber pads are active.
9 Number pads 1 th rough 0 represent temperatures. Use the follow ing chart as a guid e. *The nu mber pads must be presse d for at lea st 1 se cond. **Make sure when usin g the number pad 6, it is only pressed for 1 secon d sinc e it can al so turn of f the Sa bba th Mode .
10 It is not necessary t o wait for th e oven to preheat be fore putting food in, unles s recommended in the recipe. Close the door . 1. On double ov ens only , press UPPER OVEN or LOWER OVEN. The cavity symbol will flash in dicat ing which ov en was chosen.
11 During convecti on baking preheat, the bake, broil and convection elements all heat the oven cavity . A fter preheat, the convection element and the ba ke element wil l cycle on and off in in tervals to mai ntain ov en tem per atu re , whi le th e fa n c onst antl y ci r cul ates the hot ai r .
12 Convec tion Broil (on so me models) During convect ion broiling, th e broil elements w ill cycle on and off in interv als to ma intain ove n temperat ure, while the fa n constan tly circulates the ho t air . The temperature is preset at 450 °F (232°C), but can be changed to a different temperature.
13 To U s e : Before using Conv ect Full Meal, place food in oven. If temperature probe is required, ins ert probe into food an d plug probe into jack. See “T empe rature Probe” section for diagram. 1. Press CONVECT FULL MEAL. 2. Press pad from chart.
14 T o Delay Start: Befor e set ting d elay sta rt, make sur e the c lock is s et to the correct time of day . See “Clock” section. Del ay start shou ld not be used for food such as breads and cakes because th ey may not bak e prope rly . 1. On double ovens only , press UPPER OVEN.
15 T o S et a Cook Tim e and Stop Tim e: Before setting, make su re the clock is set to t he correct time of day . See “Cloc k” section. 1. On double ov ens only , press UPPER OVEN or LOWER OVEN. The cavity symbol will flash in dicat ing which ov en was chosen.
16 3. Press ST ART . The oven d oor will automat ically loc k and “ DOOR LOCKED,” the start time and stop t ime will app ear on the oven di splay . The door will not un lock until the oven cools. When the cyc le is complete an d the oven is cool, “End” will appear on the oven display an d “DOOR LOCKED” will disappe ar .
17 OVEN RA CKS ■ Self-C leani ng cycl e: See “Self-Cl eaning Cycle” first. Remove racks or they wil l discolor and be come harder to slide. If this happens , a light coating of ve getable oil applied to th e rack guid es will help them sli de.
