Installation 2–8 975-0704-01-01 Revision A Wiring the Dry Contact Connector Wiring instructions for dry contact wiring for SEL V devices is inclu ded in this section. The dr y cont act connect or is intended to cont rol the trigger of SEL V devices such as small DC fans or exter nal AC o r DC relays.

Router The network router must be able to supply DHCP addresses automatically to connected devices.

T urning On the Conext ComBox 975-0704-01 -01 Revision A 2–13 Power Cycle T o power cycle the Conext ComBox: 1. T urn the Conext ComBox OFF – pe r form a proper shut down (see “Shutting down the Co next ComBox” on page 3–17) then unplug and disconnect it fro m all power sources.

Configuration 3–2 975-0704-01-01 Revision A Configuration Steps T o complete Conext ComBox setup, yo u must successfully complete the proc edures in Chapte r 2, “Installation”. Make sur e the Conext ComBox is connected, t he Power LED is on, and th e Status LED is off.

Changing t he Time 975-0704-01 -01 Revision A 3–7 Changing the Time Y ou can also choose to use the net work time for your system. If enabled, network time (SNTP) will override the Conext Co mBox Time setting at the next SNTP polling update. See “Using Network Time” on page 3–8.

Lost password re covery is not possible without first setting up a valid e-mail addr ess and enabling e-mail notification.

Configuration 3–12 975-0704-01-01 Revision A T o connect the Conext ComBox to a n existing Xanbus networ k: The assumption at this po int is that ther e is an existing Xanbus network and all Xanbus-enabled devices in that network have been pr eviously interconnect ed with each other .

The Conext ComBox is now r eady to configure , control, an d monitor the devices connected on t he Xanbus network.

Configuration 3–16 975-0704-01-01 Revision A 3. Click the setting type you want to change. That portion of the window expands to display the change options for tha t setting. The size and conte nt of the expanded window varies dependin g on the setting type .

Configuration 3–18 975-0704-01-01 Revision A T o change the user passwor d: 1. Enter t he Old Password . 2. Enter your New Password . The passwor d should contain at least eight alphanumeric (0-9, a -z, A-Z) characters with no special characters and spaces.

Configuration 3–24 975-0704-01-01 Revision A Dry Contact Relay Y ou can set the Relay M ode of Operation to Automatic so that the r elay will automatica lly go on if a f ault is detecte d in the syste m. T o manually control the mod e of operation so that the relay is always on (or of f), select On (or Off ).
Changing Advanced Conext ComBox Settings 975-0704-01 -01 Revision A 3–25 Xanbus Communications The Xanbus Bit Rate parameter for t he Conext C omBox ha s two poss ible values: 125 and 250 Kbps. Th e default value for the Xanbus Bit Rate is 250 Kbps.
Configuration 3–26 975-0704-01-01 Revision A All of the RS 485 and Modbus settin gs for the Conext ComBox can be ch anged as necessary . The default value for the Modb us TCP Port is 502 and the Server Modbus Address is 201. Select Listening in Modbus TCP Enab led to enable Modbus commu nication.
