In the United States: The installation must conform with loca l cod es or, in t he absence of local codes, the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.
6 720 607 440 8 Appliance de tails 2.6 Heater Placement and Clearances The 250 S XO is design certified for in stallation directly on a combu stible wall. (se e 2.7 Mou nting in stallation) For install ation on vinyl siding see Fig . 10.

B Fix the to p ve nt cap on th e top of t he heater, as shown i n Fig. 8). Make sure the vent cap is well fitted by taking spe cial care that the f ront cover sta ys inside the extended corners of the v ent cap, as shown in Fig.

6 720 607 440 Appliance detai ls 13 2.10 Water connections When facing the heater, the ¾” co ld water inlet is o n the bottom right and the hot water o utlet is on the bottom left. Install th e heater where it’s centrally close to hot water use poin ts if possible, and make hot water piping runs as short as possible.
6 720 607 440 14 Appliance de tails 2.11 E lectrical connections The 250 SXO requires an electrica l power suppl y from a 120 VAC 60H z circuit and must be properly grounded. A means for switching off the 120VAC powe r supply must be prov ided.

6 720 607 440 Operation inst ructions 17 Setting the water temperat ure The desire d temperature of th e hot water can be ad justed on the fron t control panel of the heater. The 250 SXO h as an electronically co ntrolled gas valve that modulates the burner inp ut in response to bot h varying hot water flow rates and/or chan ges in any incomi ng and outgoing wate r temperatures.
