4 Setting Up Before you begin… Thank you for pur chasing Bose ® 251 TM environmental speakers. These high-perfor mance outdoor speakers ar e engineered to pr ovide sound quality far beyond that of other environ- mental speakers.
5 Selecting the location for your speakers For best r esults, mount both speakers on the same wall, facing the listening area. Make sure they do not face each other . (Outdoors, if you are not using an existing wall, consider the length of your listening area as your “wall.
6 Installing Y our 251 TM Speakers Installing the mounting brackets The 251 TM speakers should be mounted using the supplied brackets. They can be mounted onto the exterior of a house or onto a deck railing or table. If you choose not to use the supplied brackets, be sure to position your 251 speakers on a stur dy sur face.

10 Installing Y our 251 TM Speakers Connecting the speaker wire to the r eceiver or amplifier 1. Connect the speakers on the left side of the listening area to the left channel of your receiver or amplifier (Figur e 17). a. Attach the marked wire to the r ed (+) terminal.
11 Making the connections (cont.) Putting the speakers in the final location Loosen the knobs on each speaker to rotate the speakers into the desir ed position. Then, tighten the knobs to secure the speaker in its final position (Figur es 18A and 18B).

4 Outillage nécessaire Pour installer vos enceintes, munissez-vous des éléments suivants : • Câble d’enceinte (voir « Câble d’enceinte r ecommandé » à la page 13) • T our nevis à lam.
5 Choix d’un emplacement pour les enceintes Pour un résultat optimal, montez les deux enceintes sur le même mur , en face de la zone d’écoute. Elles ne doivent en aucun cas se fair e face. (À l’extérieur et en l’absence de murs, la longueur de la zone d’écoute tient lieu de « mur ».
