3 W ARNING • Never use natural gas in a unit designed f or liquid propane gas. • Never use c harcoal or w ood briquets in a gas grill. Flav oring chips m ust be contained in a metal smoking bo x to contain ash and prevent fires.
4 W ARNING W ARNING LP GAS CYLINDER (NO T SUPPLIED WITH THIS GRILL) The LP cylinder is a vailable f or pur chase at the same location the grill was pur chased. The LP (Liquid Propane) gas c ylinder specifically designed to be used with this grill m ust have a 20 lb.
5 The cylinder must also be equipped with: • A shut-off v alve terminating in a T ype 1 gas cylinder v alv e outlet. • A T ype 1 v alv e that pre vents gas flo w until a positiv e seal is obtained. • An arrangement f or v apor withdra wal. • A collar to protect the cylinder shut-off v alve .
FILLING THE LP GAS CYLINDER: • Allow onl y qualified LP gas dealers to pr operly fill or repair y our LP gas cylinder . • New tanks should be pur ged prior to filling; inform LP gas dealer if you are using a ne w tank. • DO NO T allow the c ylinder to be filled bey ond 80% capacity .
7 W ARNING • Never use y our grill without leak testing all gas connections and hoses. See the section on "Leak T esting" in this manual f or proper pr ocedures. The pressure regulator and hose assembl y supplied with your gas grill m ust be used.
8 LEAK TESTING: T o prevent fire or explosion hazar d: • DO NO T smoke or permit ignition sources in the area while conducting a leak test. • P erf orm test OUTDOORS only in a well ventilated area. • Never perf orm a leak test with a match or open flame.
9 W ARNING 6. Check each place listed (A–K) f or growing b ubb les which indicates a leak. 7. T urn off gas supply at cylinder valv e. 8. T urn on control knobs to release gas pressure in hose. 9. T urn control knobs to "OFF" position. 10.
10 LIGHTING INSTR UCTIONS: Follow the instructions e xactly . 1. OPEN THE GRILL LID bef ore attempting to light a burner so that fumes do not accum ulate inside the grill. An explosion could occur if grill lid is down. 2. Check that all b urner contr ol knobs and the cylinder v alve are turned to the "OFF" position.
LIGHTING THE RO TISSERIE BURNER: 1. Open gr ill hood bef ore lighting rotisserie burner . 2. Make sure control knob is in the "OFF" position. 3. Push and turn control knob to HIGH and continue to push knob in f or 3 to 5 seconds to light burner .
12 MA TCH LIGHTING THE SIDE BURNER: 1. Open the lid to the side b ur ner bef ore lighting. 2. T urn the bur ner control knob to "OFF". 3. Strike and carefully place a match appro ximately 1/2" (1 to 2 cm) from the bur ner . 4. T urn the side bur ner control knob to the "HIGH" position.
13 OPERA TING THE GRILL: Never use c harcoal or w ood briquets in a gas grill. Flav oring chips m ust be contained in a metal smoking bo x to contain ash and prevent fires. Read and follo w all warnings and instructions contained in the preceding sections of this manual.
14 R O TISSERIE COOKING: • Y our grill was pre-drilled from factory to include mounting holes for a rotisserie. Do not use a rotisserie not specifically manuf actured f or this grill. • Read and f ollow all instructions provided with the rotisserie.
15 GRILL COOKING TIPS CLEANLINESS • Alwa ys wash hands thoroughly with soap and hot w ater prior to handling food and after handling ra w meat, uncooked poultry or seafood.
16 BURNER ASSEMBL Y/MAINTENANCE • Although y our burners are constr ucted of stainless steel, they ma y corrode as a result of the extreme heat and acids from cooking f oods. Regularly inspect the burners f or crac ks, abnormal holes, and other signs of corrosion damage.
17 TRANSPOR TING AND ST ORA GE: • Never mo ve a grill when it is hot or when objects are on the cooking surfaces. • Make sure that cylinder v alve is shut off. After moving the grill c heck that all gas connections are free of leaks. Refer to instructions for Leak T esting.
18 TR OUBLE SHOO TING Prob lem: P ossible Causes: 1. Chec k LP cylinder fuel le v el. 2. Bad electrode spark. Check to see if the g rill will match light. Electrode or collector ma y need adjustment. 3. Burner may not be properly seated. 4. Burner may be obstructed.
19 Y our grill's ser ial number and model number , and the contact information for Brinkmann Customer Service, are listed on a silv er label f ound beneath the control panel, on the back of the grill or on the side of the grill body , under the side shelf .
20 Cleaning Stainless Steel Cooking Grills: W ash grills with a mild detergent and rinse with hot water bef ore initial use and as needed. DO NOT use a commercial o ven cleaner . F or stub bor n f ood residue, use a degreaser and fiber or brass cleaning brush.

Choose a good, cleared assembly area and get a friend to help you put your g rill together . Lay cardboard down to protect g rill finish and assembly area. CA UTION: Some par ts may contain shar p edges. W ear protectiv e glov es if necessar y . Note: With the help of a fr iend, carefully la y down g rill on its back.
Step 3 Remov e rotisser ie bur ner cov er from rotisserie bur ner assembly . The bolts and washers remo v ed will be used again in Step 6. Step 4 Inser t the ther mocouple brack et through the hole in the back panel. Secure brac ket to bac k panel using three M4 X 8mm bolts, M4 loc k washers and M4 n uts.
26 Step 9 Remov e igniter cap and inser t batter y with positive end of battery tow ard igniter cap . Replace igniter cap and make sure the igniter is working properly . Step 10 Place the heat distribution plates on low er le vel of g rill body assembly directly abo v e burners.

30 ADVER TENCIA • Nunca use gas natural en una unidad diseñada para gas de propano líquido. • Nunca use briquetas de carbón en una parrilla de gas. Los pedacitos de madera para dar sabor se deben colocar en una cajita de fumar de metal para contener la ceniza y para prevenir fuegos.

33 LLENADO DEL CILINDR O DE GAS DE PROP ANO LÍQUIDO: • Sólo los distribuidores de gas de propano líquido capacitados deben llenar o reparar su cilindr o. • Los tanques nuev os deben ser purgados antes de llenarlos; dígale al distrib uidor de gas si está usando un tanque nuev o.
34 • Nunca use la parrilla sin haber verificado que no hay fugas en las conexiones y mangueras de gas. Consulte los procedimientos apr opiados en la sección de "Pruebas de detección de fugas" en este manual. Se debe utilizar el conjunto del regulador de presión y manguera suministrado con la parrilla de gas.

37 INSTR UCCIONES DE ENCENDIDO: Siga las instrucciones al pie de la letra. 1. ABRA LA T AP A DE LA P ARRILLA antes de tratar de encender una hornilla para que no se acumulen v apores dentro de la parrilla. Puede producir se una explosión si la tapa de la parrilla no está abierta.
ENCENDIDO DE LA HORNILLA DEL ASADOR ESTILO R O TISSERIE: 1. Abra la cubier ta de la parrilla antes de encender la hor nilla del asador estilo rotisserie.
39 ENCENDIDO DE LA HORNILLA LA TERAL CON UN CERILLO: 1. Abra la tapa de la hornilla lateral antes de encenderla. 2. Gire la perilla de control de la hor nilla a la posición "OFF" (apagado). 3. Prenda y coloque un cerillo apro ximadamente a 1/2" pulgada (1 a 2 cm) de la hor nilla.
40 OPERA CIÓN DE LA P ARRILLA: Nunca use briquetas de carbón en una parrilla de gas. Los pedacitos de madera para dar sabor se deben colocar en una cajita de fumar de metal para contener la ceniza y para prevenir fuegos. Lea y siga todas las advertencias e instrucciones indicadas en las secciones anteriores de este manual.
41 COCCIÓN ESTILO R O TISSERIE: • La parrilla viene preparada de la f ábrica con agujeros de montaje para instalar un asador estilo rotisserie (vendido apar te). No use un asador estilo rotisserie que no hay a sido f abricado especialmente para esta parrilla.
42 RECOMENDACIONES P ARA COCINAR EN LA P ARRILLA LIMPIEZA • Siempre láv ese bien las manos con agua caliente y jabón antes de manipular alimentos y después de tocar car ne, pollo o mariscos crudos.
43 INST ALA CIÓN/MANTENIMIENT O DE LAS HORNILLAS • Si bien las hor nillas están f abricadas de acero Inoxidab le, pueden o xidarse debido al calor e xtremo y a los ácidos de los alimentos. Inspeccione regularmente las hor nillas para v er si tienen agujeros anor males y otras señales de daños por corrosión.
44 TRANSPOR TE Y ALMA CENAJE: • Nunca mue va una parrilla cuando está caliente o con objetos sobre las superficies de cocción. • Asegúrese de que la válvula del cilindr o esté cerrada. Después de mover la parrilla, verifique que no hay a fugas en ninguna de las conexiones de gas.
