3 SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS Genera l Instru ctions – T o en sure co rrect oper ation, user has to read this inst ruction manual to make himself familiar wit h the handling o f the Edging trimmer . Users insufficiently inform ed wil l risk da nger t o them selves as wel l as othe rs due to im proper handling.
4 S tart the Edging trimmer only in accordance with the instructions . Do not use any other methods for startin g the engine! – Use the Edging trimmer and the tools only for such appl ications a s specified. – Only start the Edging trimmer engine, after the entire assembly is done.
5 Meth od of op era tion – Only use the Edging trimmer in good light and visibility . During the winter season beware of slippe ry or wet areas, ice and snow (risk of slipping). Always ensure a sa fe foot ing. – Never work on unstable surfac es. – Remov e sand , stone s, nai ls etc.

Alway s wear prot ectiv e gloves ! – Fix a ba rrier t o the l eft side of the machine togeth er with the hand le for operator ’ s pr otect ion.
10 Handling f uel Utmost care is re quired w hen handli ng fuel . Fuel ma y contain s ubstanc es similar to solvents. Refue l either in a well vent ilated room or outdoors. Do not inhale fuel vap ors, avoid any contact of fuel or oil with yo ur skin. Minera l oil p roducts degrease your sk in.
11 CORRECT HANDLING OF MA CHINE Attachment of shou lder strap – Adjust the s trap l ength so that the wh eel wi ll be ke pt on the gr ound. Detachment – In an emer gency , push the notc hes (1) at both sides, and you ca n detach the machine from you.
12 ST OPPING – Relea se the th rottl e lever (6) full y , and when th e engine rpm has lowered , push the I-O swi tch (1) to “ O ” 㩷 posit ion the e ngine will n ow stop. – Be awar e that the c utting head may not st op immed iately and allow it to slow down fully .
13 SER VICI NG INSTRUCTIONS SERVICING I NSTRUCTIONS C AU TI ON : Before doing any work on the Edging trimmer , always switch of f the m otor and pull t he plu g cap o ff the spark plug (se e “ checki ng the spar k plug ” ). Always wear prote ctive gloves.
14 0.6mm -0.7m m (0.024”-0.028”) Suctio n head in the fue l tank – The fu el filler (5) of the sucti on head is use d to fill er the fuel requ ired by t he carburetor.
15 STORA GE Fault location – When the machine is in storage for a long t ime, drain fuel fro m the fuel tank and carb uretor, as follows : Drain all fu el from th e fuel tank. Disp ose of properly and in accorda nce with all local laws. – Remove t he spark plu g and a few dro ps of oil in to the spark plug hole.

27 Manipulation du carburant: La manipulation du carburant exige un soin extrême. Le carburant peut contenir des substances similaires aux solvants. Procéder au ravitaillement dans une pièce bien aérée ou à l'extérieur. Ne pas respirer de vapeurs de carburant, éviter tout contact cutané avec le carburant ou l'huile.

41 㩷 Manipulación del combustible La máxima atención se requiere cuando se manipule el combustible. El combustible puede contener sustancias similares a los disolventes. Reponer combustible en una habitación bien ventilada o en el exterior, No inhalar vapores de combustible, evitar el contacto del combustible o del aceite con su piel.
