16 Network Scanner T ool User ’s Guide Convert by OCR This option lets you chang e im age files to text files using OCR (Optical Character R ecognition). These options are the same as those av ailable on the Sharpdesk Conv ert By OCR feature and are accessible by selecting the Details button.

20 Network Scanner T ool User ’s Guide Advanced The Advanced button allows you to specify how your PC network address is to be resolved. Click on Advanced to bring up the PC Setting s screen: PC Set.
Network Scanner T ool User ’s Guide 21 Enable/Disabl e a Copier Y ou can enable or disable a copier for scanning to your com puter by check ing or uncheck ing the box next to the copier name. A uto Detec t This option will cause Network Scanner T ool to search the local subnet for Sharp copiers that are capable of network scanning .
22 Network Scanner T ool User ’s Guide Sy stem Options T ab The Network Scanner T ool uses a modified FTP server that is controlled using the Sy stem Options tab. This tab lets y ou set the FTP port num ber for com m unications with your com puter as well as allow FTP reads.
